Discover the artist

Start With Dessert is an artist for whom creativity has never been a choice, but an innate impulse.

Since childhood, she has been immersed in confectionery and manual activities, shaping her universe from her environment and the emotions it aroused.

Like any self-respecting Parisian, Start With Dessert cultivates a special relationship with café terraces, public transport and bike rides. These moments of transition, these “dead times”, become the stage for one of her favorite activities: observation.

It's then that she becomes a spectator of an imperfect world, rich in contrasts and emotions. A ballet begins and expresses itself before her eyes. Every moment, every detail, whether ordinary or exceptional, becomes an inexhaustible source of creation.

In her art, she subtly allows the old and the new to meet, creating a richly nuanced world, imbued with history and modernity.

Her artistic approach, rooted in the abstract but nourished by figurative and cubist elements, places great emphasis on mystery.

The faces often concealed in her arts open the way to several levels of reading, inviting introspective and personal exploration.

She alternates between spontaneous inspirations, without preparatory sketches, and precise themes that structure her creations. This duality between mastery and spontaneity is reflected in the asymmetry she favors, translating the complexity and multiplicity of human identities.

On a technical level, Start With Dessert explores a wide variety of media and tools. She uses felt-tip pens, oil and dry pastels, acrylic paint, Posca and acrylic markers, which she assembles in mixed techniques.

Working mainly on A3 and A4 formats, she superimposes layers to create works rich in texture and relief, offering captivating depth.

Color is at the heart of Start With Dessert's work. In her portrait series, each vibrant background illustrates distinct personalities and unique “auras”, a way for her to explore and translate the versatility of feelings and emotions. Her palettes, influenced by the seasons and the discoveries she makes on her travels, create varied moods that permeate her works and collections.

In her tennis-inspired series, for example, she celebrates the elegance of the sport through a subtle balance of refinement, mastery and freedom.

The accessibility of art is an essential value for Start With Dessert.
Convinced that artistic emotion should be shared, she offers reproductions of her original works for wider distribution.

Her passion for fashion, another long-standing attraction, has led her to apply certain creations to textile supports. Her garments, both comfortable and elegant, are conceived as an extension of her artistic universe. Designed to be worn by men and women alike, these pieces aim to reach a universal audience, including those for whom the art world may seem distant, but who find a voice in their clothing style.

The philosophy behind the name Start With Dessert - “start with what makes you happy” - is based on the idea that dessert, a symbol of sweetness and simple pleasure, represents the moments of happiness we don't always pay attention to.

Through her creations, Start With Dessert invites everyone to indulge in a bit of daydreaming, to rediscover a joyful, colorful spontaneity, reminiscent of the freedom of childhood.

For her, art must be freed from diktats and elitism. It belongs to everyone, and gives everyone the opportunity to express their own sensibility, without any constraints.

Inexhaustible and eclectic, Start With Dessert draws on a vast palette of cultures, emotions and universes to bring sincere art to life. Each creation becomes an invitation to explore a rich, vibrant and striking world.

Her arts, imbued with sensitivity, encourage everyone to rediscover the freedom to express themselves and fully embrace their own vision of the world.
