The All-Seeing Eye – “Quiet Shadow”
STORY:
Quiet Shadow
Sitting in a corner of the restaurant, she's been there all along. A discreet silhouette, almost fading into the background. She's not part of the game, she's observing it.
The ballet of encounters, hesitations, awkwardness and laughter unfolds before her eyes. She sees it all.
She saw Marcel apprehensively readjust his collar. She saw the lady with the red nail polish walk through the door with the confidence of someone who knows where she's going. She saw the unlikely duel between a man and a lobster, and the panic in the man's eyes.
Finally, she's also seen Paul enter confidently with flowers and leave with a doubt bigger than himself. But no one looks at her. No one knows she's there.
When the last customer leaves, she finally stands up, then approaches a painting on the wall. Her own work.
With a fluid gesture, she signs discreetly in a corner, like a director signing the end of his play.
MORAL:
